Santa Rug I'm Working On........

Just thought I'd share a few pictures of the Santa riding a sheep rug I'm working on. This is the last rug I'll be doing for the season, at least I think it's all I'll have time for, lol! This is a Joni Black design that I've done in the past as a needle punch.

How's everyone's decorating going? I haven't done a thing ~ shame on me! I will be putting my trees up next weekend and my Christmas village too. Love putting them up ~ hate taking them down. I still have shopping to do too. So much to do, so little time left to do it in.

I hope everyone has a wonderful week ~ tis the season to be jolly........

Many Blessings ~ Marte

"JUST A CAT" Rug

Here's my newest finished rug. I call him "just a cat" 'cuz that's all it is. He's done in all muted hand dyed wools and is a good size at 13.5" wide by 24" long.

I hope all of you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Now on to Christmas, huh? Any Black Friday Shoppers out there? NOT ME! I haven't even done any cyber shopping yet ~ better get my butt in gear. Seems I blinked my eyes and the year went by, LOL! (better stop blinking...)

Justin on Halloween

Hi ya's! Just thought I'd a post a couple of pictures of my son dressed for Halloween. He's the one on the right ~ the other is Scott, his friend. They're supposed to be Maverick and Goose from Top Gun, LOL! Justin is Goose. They're at the bar/resturant where Justin is a manager and Scott is the doorman (bouncer in my day). Silly boys.......

Um.......Hester in the House?!

I know, I know ~ my mom would FREAK if she knew Hester Biddleton occasionally came in the house and hopped up on my island with the stove! She would probably NEVER eat here again! LOL! Hester doesn't live in the house but if she's near the door when it opens, in she comes! (good thing mom doesn't visit my blog ~ or doeesss sheeee????) Pretty soon I'll probably have Prudence Miller and Eliza Dorchester (more barred rocks) wanting to come in. And then there's Willow, Raven and on and on ~ can ya tell I LOVE my chickens!!!!!!??????

Anyhoo ~ I'm hoping each and every one of you have a wonderful weekend and upcoming Thanksgiving. Any Black Friday shoppers? NOT ME! I would love to get in on some of the deals out there being offered but can't take the crowds and traffic of Orlando even on a good day let alone Black Friday.

Hugs to all ~ Marte

Primitive Rabbit Rug

Hello all! Here's my finished rabbit rug ~ he's inspired by a rabbit designed by M. Shaw with my own twist to it.

He's for sale so if you're interested in him, please email me at mlbordeaux@msn.com The rug measures 20" x 16" and is hooked with all primitive drab wool strips. I've hand dyed some of the wools ~ the rabbit's body is a hand dyed color called Wooly Sheep. The foundation is 100% linen with cotton binding. He's a keeper!!

The price for this rug is $130.00 with free shipping and handling to the United States. You won't be disappointed with him ~ I was tempted to keep him for myself, lol!

Have a safe and wonderful weekend my friends! We're looking at great temperatures down here in sunny Florida ~ today the highs will be in the 60's (so nice after such a HOT summer).

Hugs & Smiles ~ Marte
