Primitive Rabbit Rug

Hello all! Here's my finished rabbit rug ~ he's inspired by a rabbit designed by M. Shaw with my own twist to it.

He's for sale so if you're interested in him, please email me at mlbordeaux@msn.com The rug measures 20" x 16" and is hooked with all primitive drab wool strips. I've hand dyed some of the wools ~ the rabbit's body is a hand dyed color called Wooly Sheep. The foundation is 100% linen with cotton binding. He's a keeper!!

The price for this rug is $130.00 with free shipping and handling to the United States. You won't be disappointed with him ~ I was tempted to keep him for myself, lol!

Have a safe and wonderful weekend my friends! We're looking at great temperatures down here in sunny Florida ~ today the highs will be in the 60's (so nice after such a HOT summer).

Needle Punch Santa Doll

Happy November everybody! Can you believe Christmas is right around the corner???? I am soooooo not ready, lol! We are finally getting fall-like weather here in Florida, well Fall for Florida anyway. It's been in the 70's during the day and 60's at night ~ a great big welcome relief from the heat! My critters are really enjoying the cool down.

Just thought I'd share a picture of my needle punch Santa doll I just completed. He's backed by some nice thick wool and I've lightly filled him with clean sawdust for an old timey feel. And I just drew up another rug to hook on my foundation. A rabbit ~ although I should be doing Holiday things ~ I just got the notion to do a rabbit!

Have a great rest of the weekend folks! I'm having family over for supper tomorrow and because of the cool down, I'm making a big pot of corn chowder and some biscuits, an apple pie and cheese cake.

Busy Busy Busy But.......

I somehow managed to get a Santa needle punch mini-rug finished!

I've been working as a contractor at the Orlando VA Hospital but that is soon to end. Then I can get back to dyeing my wools, hookin' rugs and needle punchin'. I sure do miss it!

I hope all of you in blog-land are doing well!

Pumpkin Man Needle Punched

Good Sunday Morning to ya'll!!! I hope everyone is having a GREAT weekend!

Welp, here's Pumpkin Man needle punched. I guess I enjoyed hooking him as a rug so much ~ I wanted to see him done up in a needle punch (on a much smaller scale of course). Now that he's done ~ what to do what to do??? I'm sure I'll come up with something ~ I hate not having something to work on while sitting.

Have a fun day my friends! Til next time.......

COMPLETED PUMPKIN MAN RUG

Well here is Pumpkin Man and his cat all finished! I love the background wool I used for him ~ it makes this rug look old and vintage. Much better in person ~ I have such a time with the flash on my camera, lol! So I guess it's ON TO THE NEXT! I might hook another Fall/Halloween rug before going on the something Wintery.

Smiles & Wishes for ya'll to have a wonderful weekend ~ Marte :-)
